I picked up saddle hunting last year. The less bulk and weight to carry in to public land spots the better. Like many of you, I'm always searching for the best system to pack in cuz I'm often way back in. Anyway I picked up this pack and I'm super happy with it.

The pack weighs 2# 12oz. And the crib is 5oz. With my Predator and 4 Beast sticks I'm at 14 lbs and its super comfortable. (12.25# with 3 sticks and my single step aider) The best thing is with the crib I can easily pack in my outer layers in with my Predator. Packs super tight too. Here's some pics.

frames are the way to go. why carry weight on the shoulders if you don't have to.

I have the Exo k2 frame with the crib panel, 2000 and 5500 bags. Covers all seasons and situations. Great stuff.

There is also a lid that comes with the 3500 and 5500 and can be used with the 2000 and mesh pockets can be added inside the bag on velcro strips.

I picked up a stone glacier x curve frame with a solo bag that I’m going to use this season.

This looks like a great option. Is there pockets that can be added to this? I’m not familiar with their gear.
You can add either pocket on belt as mentioned or whatever size bag you want with pockets (they sell a 2000, 3500, and 5500 cubic in. I believe.) I'm just running it without bag cuz the rest of my gear can fit in the Sys hauler from my Mantis.

Looks like a great setup! Batwings/cargo panels/cribs are a great way to haul saddle gear!
