I received my Predator this afternoon, order # 3593 from May 27th. It weighs 2 lbs 15 ounces without the strap and 3 lbs 6 ounces with the strap. The tail end of the spring doesn’t seem to have been remedied. It still seems to stick out and has potential for fraying the strap if not bent out. The build quality is good, some marks from the casting process though. You will notice that the back of the platform near the teeth has been reinforced. My top bracket was assembled cockeyed but that’s an easy enough fix. The platform is perfectly level with no curve at all, as was seen in some others. Oh and all the bolts seem to be waxed. I’ll give another update after I get it in the tree this weekend.

Love mine. It didn’t making popping sounds till a few sits in so waxing the bolt isn’t a bad idea proactively

Used mine last night for the first time. I did Rewax the entire bolt/washer setup, also put some rubber hose over the leveling bolt. Will paint and some other tweaks after season. Did a rope mod on it. Not sure if I like the rope mod on the platform, or going back to a buckle. Going to take some gett No used to, had a buck and doe come thru behind me, have to figure this out more. Missed a doe later. But in all, a good night out.

I used my Predator this morning on a 5 hour hunt. It was great! This was my first time using a platform of any kind. It set up super easy, bit the tree well, was super stable and I felt no flex. It didn’t pop, creak or make any other noises. I can’t believe how much easier it was to position for a shot. Leaning was super comfortable and I didn’t find sitting bad either. I’m super pleased so far! Next week I’ll drag it to Michigan for a rifle hunt and I’m sure it will work great for that.

Just got home from a 4 hour sit on the "newer" predator. No complaints here. Super quiet, components appear to be waxed prior to shipping. The Mantis recliner is pretty slick too, definitely gonna like the system.

Used the Gen 2 predator this weekend. The only thing I did was put a felt pad underneath the set screw. I had a total of 8 hours on it. Not a single creek or problem.

AWESOME platform. Once its cammed over it is rock solid. I love this thing. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

I did the exact same thing as you with the felt pad. I put about 10 hours on mine this weekend in temps between 20 and 30 degrees and not a single pop, crack or noise.
