I carry a 6ft cedar walking stick and as long as i remember to keep it ahead of my body it catches 99% of the spider web.....helps with moving the snakes out of the way. Ihave the stick marked at the level of my boots so i can kinda test the depth of water and know about how close the water will be to the top of my boot

I scout in the summer but sometimes the patterns have changed. I have three trees that are good for me every year so I prep them in the summer so all I have to carry in is my hybrid.

I have a fiberglass Surveying rod that serves as muh spider stick. Can't go out without muh spider stick! Nanner spiders do bite, it does hurt, and you do not get super powers!
