What hook or grabber are you guys using in your pull ropes? How do you like ut?

I have a small loop of paracord permanently tied to my bow, then just clip my pull rope to the loop with an S-biner

I was really referring to the hooks people tie on the rope to hook stuff on the ground while in the tree.

I use 550 cord with a Figure 9 at one end and a 20kN climbing biner at the other. My reasoning is, you never know if you need a back up length of paracord, a Figure 9, or a back up biner. I loop the Figure 9 end of the pull rope through my molle on my Phantom and with the larger throat of the biner, it allows me to clip my bow and camera up. I wear my bag as I climb, secure everything at height and pull up my cam and bow. This is when the Figure 9 sometimes comes in handy, if another tree is near me, I will use the paracord and Figure 9 to secure my pack to the opposing tree to break up my profile to reduce my chances of being sky-lined. Then I tuck fir/cedar limbs in the 550 to break up the profile of my pack. Hope this helps!

Gotcha. Other than trying really hard not to drop anything... I suppose the hook end of a ratchet strap could work

I made a hook out of aluminum that I tied to paracord. Kinda wish I made it out of steel for the extra weight, if its windy the aluminum can be blown around. I use it to pick up my bow once I get setup in the tree. Makes it a little game sometimes when its windy, I have always grabbed it but can take a few tries to get the hook in the right spot.

I use a giant salt water fishing hook with the point dulled and then shrink tubed. Doubles as my bow hanger.

This is what I have used last couple of years works good. The grapple detaches
About the size of a handcuff.
