Giving out your number via trail cam - is this a thing?

A hunting buddy of mine did it when a camera he had in the area had been taken.

So this guy was on my camera. Showing me his camera and then flashing what appears to be his phone number, which I can't fully read. Is this a thing? I mean I guess I've heard of it being a thing on private land, but this is public land. Wish I could read the number and I'd probably give him a text. Probably ask why he is out running cameras, not carrying a weapon while it is still open season lol. And I'd tell him that I made that mock scrape he is standing in front of (not actually a mock scrape)

I've left a note with my # on a few treestands in areas I also hunt, never heard from any. Just trying to figure out how much they use it really. Vortex brah is probably thinking something similar.

I used to dodge cameras but now I walk in front of most of them just to let them know someone else is in the area. A couple times over the years I've had them in "my" areas and gone a little out of my way to walk in front of it as often as I could in hopes they would give up with all the pressure. Public land it be like that sometimes I'm not out there to make friends in my honey holes, but that's as about as passive aggressive as I'll get about it.
