Go-to pre-hunt breakfast?

I make eggs pretty much every single morning, but don't like taking the time to make them and clean up before a morning hunt. Plus, I have a mile+ hike in steep terrain and the last thing I want to do is burp eggs the whole way up. This season, I have started eating plain Greek yogurt with a handful of pecans and a handful of almonds, banana chips and a dash of honey. The protein and fat keeps me full for a long time, and it doesn't sit so heavy in my gut.

What do you guys eat before morning hunts?

2 pop tarts, a cliff builder bar, a glass of chocolate milk, 20 oz coffee. About 40 grams of protein with a caffeine kicker. Big pinch of nerve medicine and I am good til lunch.

Christmas tree cake and a coffee. But I need to start doing better. A lot of mornings for work I'll boil several eggs at the beginning of the week then just pull a couple out of the fridge every morning.

An Imodium (preemptive strike) followed by a double vanilla carnation instant breakfast then a protein bar or pop tarts. That usually holds me until lunch. I also always have, just in case, a pre-opener Snickers bar in a silicone resealable zip lock bag (quietness level).

Coffee. Sometimes a fig bar if I'm feeling frisky. Pretty much the norm for me though not a big snacker. I eat a big dinner every day and that puts me in a good calorie neutral place. When I much snack, eat a big lunch, or drink, it goes straight to my reserves.

I usually eat some peanut butter sandwiches once I get set up in the tree. Some times I have a thermos of coffee if I have the time to make it, otherwise water. I cant eat before I get to my hunting spot and get set up. I have anxiety about getting to a spot before others and being setup before I think the deer will come through.

Learned not to eat in the tree from years of duck hunting. As soon as you take a big bite of food, there the ducks are and you cant blow the call, gotta set all that crap down somewhere other than in the water, total cluster. I dont need that chaos when I am tryin to kilt a deer to death.

I am a pretty routine guy. Usually 2 eggs with venison breakfast sausage burrito with hot sauce. Doesn't take long. If I am in a major rush then greek yogurt with banana and peanut butter it is and out the door I go. ALWASY coffee included.

Pre-made Large bowl of brown rice cereal. Raisins, nuts, bananas, coconut ++ milk. Keeps me full till lunch! Will send pic this weekend!

Not the healthiest thing but I usually don't eat until lunch pretty much every day. When I hunt sometimes I'll eat a granola bar or whatever kids snack I took from the lunch supplies that day. I'm a fan of apples as well, easy snack, though if I toss the core from the tree is that considered baiting? Lol

Hungry? Why wait? Very quietly... Grab a Snickers.
