Thus far my season has pretty much sucked for several reasons which I will write about later. Still after them though and expect to score.
My son on the other hand took a monster 14 point with me last week on free permission out of state property. His buck is quite unique in it has forked G2's and 3's on both sides that are dam near perfectly symmetrical. He had seen this buck the previous morning moving through a transition funnel and we set up a saddle location in it that day about 30 feet up a relatively small diameter tree and go up that high so as not to get picked. The buck made the mistake of using the same travel route as the day before and that cost him his life and my son some bragging rights as it is his biggest buck to date.
More to come later as well on the HUGE differences in hang-ons vs. saddles as we took a tree stand hunter with us. He was great in camp but the tree stand thing was a MAJOR deficit to our hunting plans.
