Got my mount finished!!!

Did they charge less than a standard shoulder mount? Or similar pricing. I had one done and doubt I would have one done again unless it was like a 180"+ deer. I like how that's smaller and would consider it for a good deer if the price was fair.

So the reason I asked, because at my grandfather's old hunting shack, in a corner they had a full body deer mount propped up on the make shift guerney they carried it out on. Basically a typical deer cart made out of wood with no wheels and at the time they were buddies with a guy just getting into taxidermy and he basically stuffed it the same way they carried it in. It was awesome. Lots of twine and bent wood/machete cuts, but for the life of me I can't find a picture and for the last 2 days have been trying to find one.

That said, the reason I always do European is for saving space. Shoulder mounts are cumbersome. So I like this idea.
 
My dad is having his buck from this past year mounted the same way. My daughter’s fiancé grew up helping his dad who was a taxidermist, and although he doesn’t do it for a living he does taxidermy for family for cheap (one of the many reasons I gave him my permission to ask my daughter to marry him). My dad’s will be the first buck he’s done on a frame so I’m interested to see how it turns out.

I guess if he didnt have a couple hundred acres, taxidermy isnt the worst trade off.
 
Nice buck, have you scored it yourself or someone else? If killed with the right equipment, that is easily Pope and Young.

Haven’t scored the first buck I posted yet but will be having him scored soon! The buck my son killed just missed P&y scoring 121 the bigger buck I posted scored 150 6/8 gross. 147 6/8 net
