Just ordered 90 feet of 7/16 to use to rappel with my grgri+ when coming down or if I had an equipment failure. At the price I couldn’t pass it up- I’m going to cut like 30 feet or so off for another project

Placed my order today with R&W Rope for 50ft of Sterling 9mm HTP with sewn eye for $76.03. They offered to buy the Petzl small ring or let me supply it to have it installed into the eye. I decided to buy on Amazon and drop ship it to them with my Prime account...free shipping! The sewn eye will be done at the Sterling factory in Maine, so I assume it will be a quality job done right.

ok, I think i ordered something wrong.

I ordered a RH ascender and after watching a few demos, I thnk I should have ordered a LH one.

any thoughts on this? Would like to exchange it back before I use it.

Are you right or left handed?
Right handed is a left ascender
Left handed is a right ascender
 
I am RH, and on my order it says:
10427259 Petzl Ascension Ergonomic Ascender Right Hand, Yellow

did I order the correct one?

If you can return it for a left one that’s awesome but a lot of companies don’t like returns on rope equipment. It can still be used with your left hand you’ll just be looking at the back of the ascender as you use it; not a huge deal if you’re stuck with it IMO but I get wanting to have a left handed as that’s what I ordered myself. We use right hand ascenders flipped around to the left at work all the time with no issues.

When i took it out to play with it, I noticed that as well. Thanks for the tip!
