I’ll second the sofrin. I’ve been through two seasons with it and haven’t had an issue. It’s my primary light as it’s just simple to use.

The SH Membership has gone live. Only SH Members have access to post in the classifieds. All members can view the classifieds. Starting in 2020 only SH Members will be admitted to the annual hunting contest. Current members will need to follow these steps to upgrade: 1. Click on your username 2. Click on Account upgrades 3. This one wasn’t bothered in the least by the white light. She had gotten as close as 8 feet before I got my phone out. She just kept feeding around me until decided to go on to the truck.

i take it you dont have lighted sight pins.
That is a lighted sight for a stick bow shooter. Obviously not legal. That was the 4th deer in slam dunk bow range walking out this season with that light. I dont use it that bright for walking in or out, just when them eye balls start getting close.i take it you dont have lighted sight pins.
I realized a few seasons ago that I make a lot more noise walking in the dark with red or green light. Only white light for me and it makes navigating so much easier. I have never seen it affect deer any differently.
Walking out earlier in the season using white light, I heard some shuffling to my right when I stopped to check the direction I needed to go. I turned and looked to see what was making the noise and 5 pairs of eyes glowed back at me. They only took off once I asked "What are you looking at?" I just stick to white light, they don't really seem to mind in my experience.
Just the other day I was walking out on a public piece I had scout/hunted that day, I hunted until legal one-half an hour after sunset and it was too dark to shoot anything anyway that day however, about two-thirds of the way back to my truck I did a quick head turn and caught a glimpse of an eye. I turned 90 degrees to my left and sure enough, three sets of eyes lit up about 12 yards away. I just looked at them and they looked at me and then I kept walking. The wind was from the north and I was heading south so they couldn't wind me but they acted like they could have cared less. This is two weeks into our gun season. Never know for sure how deer are going to react to things sometimes.
