Has anyone ever tried to cut down an old ameristand platform?

The whole idea of trimming off a stand, I get it to to save $$. My main concern is the possibility of micro fissures/cracks developing. All depends on the blade, speed of the blade and material, and age of the material.

The stand was super cheap so it’s just to give it a shot and see what happens. Not sure what I’ll cut it with yet have every tool I can think of here at work.
