So in the picture I put the tether at my head height. I’m 5’5” (ish) and the orange flagging tape is where my last bolt went.

My first bolt I put chin level right side, and put my left bolt about 2 feet. Used my 1/8 amsteel daisy chain aider by putting my right foot half way up to my right bolt and climbed up my left side, took off my aider and move to my right bolt. Did that twice and then moved it to 18". Approximate height was 21'. Range finder was 7 yards. Not bad...I will probably use 2 more and get to 25 feet.

That's pretty sweet but......just get more bolts, right? Seems like unless you are using the carbon fiber ones they are pretty cheap and don't really weigh that much, just my 2 cents.

I have 10 titanium, 10 carbon fiber and 10 grade 8 bolts from lowes. I can get pretty high in a tree if I need to as I take 18 with me.

What bolts can you use a lowes or home depot?

Hopefully I wouldn't be in the tree while this was happening and while I know your kidding...I am too with my next statement. Chainsaw won't work when it's raining 9mm hail.

it was...I meant 3/8...That would be a serious hand drill and popeye arms.

For what it’s worth, a couple weeks a go l put 9 bolts in a tree, spaced by using my foot to knee as a reference for measurements. Set my platform roughly one foot above my last bolt, I’m 5’9”, and measurement to my platform was 15’-8”. I brought a tape measure with me to verify
