I was just thinking this might work any thoughts?
I was going to mention that tree ladder from Canada, beat me to it
Yes thanks for the link!
Just a section of rope around a anchor point! But that's why I wanted yall's opinion or other ideas just spitballing right now!I don’t know never tried or thought about it. How do you plan on tying it off?

I knew someone had to have at least given it a thought your ladder looks great what is the weight compared to the etiers? Thanks for the detailed info!I just made one.
1/4" Amsteel. I used 1/4" brass sailing thimbles on each side as bushings and bolted 1/4×9" threaded rod through them.
I used a regular nut on the insides and a nylon lock nut on the outside with washers in between to prevent the amsteel from creeping out of the channel of the thimble.
They're spaced 17 inches apart.
It attaches to a wildedge step using a 3" flat strap hook.
I looped the amsteel through the strap hook and back around it so the amsteel spreads to the sides of the eye.
The most important thing I've found in my first trial is that your wild edge step is tapped so the strap hook fits snugly and won't slide while climbing.
As with the 5 step aiders, this goes with a knader I made using a composite riding stirrup I bought instead of just the strap. It gives me a little more security and grips the side of my boot.
It still wants to kick out a little, but it feels much safer on smaller trees.
If I do it again, I'd probably use a thicker rod and amsteel. The 1/4" has bent under my weight (250 lbs), but I gave it some stress and it seems to hold well.

There are commercial ladder style aiders that may be of interest as well.I knew someone had to have at least given it a thought your ladder looks great what is the weight compared to the etiers? Thanks for the detailed info!
I think that is for running through like us "old" guys did with tires.https://www.target.com/p/c9-champion-174-agility-ladder-15/-/A-51944108
