IMG_2794.JPG So....practice makes perfect-er...

If I decide I like using sticks, I'll get Muddy.

These are Big GameX 21" double step sticks. Wrapped in tractor supply Camo horse tape and stealth strips and some inner tube.

I have 1 step aiders on each stick. Might go ahead and use a 3 step on the bottom one.

I attached a small fleece pouch to my Strapworks carry strap and stuffed all the buckles and straps into it and tucked it under the strap loop. My one-step aiders are all tucked under the other side. Now at least I can carry quietly and not get tangled.

I kept having straps flop loose while walking and start clanging around...

I'm getting some Yakgrips to try out

How were you climbing before sticks? Screw in steps?

Tree Bolts, Aider, XOP Climber Seat...and I used these sticks one season before silencing and figuring out how to carry them better.
Sometimes I ground hunt with the option of going up a tree...don't want to carry sticks just in case you need them

And climbing sticks are 'less athletic' of a climb...you just have to CARRY THEM.
