I was in the garage tinkering since it has been monsoon season here lately and came up with an idea to attach a platform to my helium top stick. I had an aluminum gorilla ground tree seat and came p with this idea. I think it turned out well and seems pretty solid. I did beef up the top part of the I beam on each side with a 1/2 in steel hollow rod.

Cool. Have you tried climbing up onto it from the lower steps on the stick? Is that tricky to do? (Just thinking about how I typically step on to the platform from the side)

It has minimal flex from side to side and I am 6'1 215 lbs. I removed the middle steps from all my sticks but put one middle one back on the top stick to make it easier to step on the platform. I keep the platform up and then when I step on the middle stick I push the platform down with mt right foot and then it is pretty easy to step right on it. I really like it.

Been thinking of something similar. Thanks for sharing.

Great solution! Good work.
