Hello everyone! New to saddle hunting. I got in my Mantis a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been out to practice putting in my TreeHopper bolts, and getting used to the saddle. Still need a ROS or platform. I live in Austin, TX, but hunt towards the Houston area.

Welcome F1! I’m from Houston and hunt about half way between Houston and Dallas. One of my sons lives in Austin.

Wow! I wish we could put together a Texas Saddlepalooza with all the members here and actually demo the different climbing methods, platforms and equipment and get a “network” going. I hunt public land exclusively in Davy Crockett, Angelina and Sabine National Forests.

I could do that. The other Saddle Palooza is usually in Feb and I’m still hunting. Plus after I’ve spent so much time away from home from hunting season it would be pretty difficult for me to go to Georgia or a road trip for this.

It was my first time there and only got to hunt Saturday. Lots of pig sign and I like those tall trees. Walked in and scouted and set up that morning. I hunted the rest of the day but didn’t see anything.

Well if several would like to shoot for March or April in East TX I’ve got a place where several people can stay for free and lot’s of woods to play in.

I’ve got a Mantis, Flex, spurs, Wild Edge steps, Predator, two different sets of ring of steps.

I’m in Cypress Tx. I have a Kite, DIY platform, WE steps, and lone wolf sticks. I hunt in Louisiana but have a cabin on Texas side of Toledo Bend. I would also be interested in meeting up / group thread

Cajunshooter mentioned something about starting a new dedicated thread on this. I think a Saddlepalooza in Texas would be pretty big for sure.

I'm in for a Texas Saddlepalooza as well.
I'm one of the buddies Treesloth is referring to.
I've got a set of 3 Hawk Heliums and 5 wild edge steps for building my platform.
