Hitches in Amsteel Blue

Anyone have issues tying a hitch (as appose to a Knot) in Amsteel? I'm less worried the Amsteel will break than the hitch might loosen. It's the wild edge Hitch (Jim Stepp knot?) on a Primal V step. Will the fact that it isn't full bury amsteel be a problem for the hitch? it's 3/16 Amsteel Blue so very strong but slippery stuff.

I think amsteel is pretty heat sensitive and sensitive to tight bends so knots weaken it substantially. I have a friend that uses full bury amsteel on his primal steps but I'd check and double check you're confident tying the hitch. Amsteel doesn't have much stretch so it's easier to bend the legs of the steps too.
If the straps are still on the primal steps, you can cut off the buckle part and tie the strap as you would the wild edge hitch.

I never had an issue when using the same setup you describe. They are less forgiving than the WE rope.
