Water is the only thing on a stand with me. Hunt hungry.

I've used these for all day sits in the cold. This and a 20oz bottle of water is enough to heat up food to (almost) too hot and the left over water is used with the gatorade powder in the pack. Don't use them very often, but if I'm going far in on public all day, it sure is nice to eat hot food.
I was supposed to quote that but it didn't workI usually just take a pb&j for all day sits, but I'm not gonna lie, that looks interesting. Not sure if it's still too much fiddle factor up on a tree, but I might give that a shot and see how it goes.

Anyone found or used a small shelf attached to the tree to run a backpacking stove to boil water? I have an MSR stove and a Jetboil and was looking for something to set the stove on to boil water to make a hot meal
Are you a model of health and fitness? This seems crazy to me. I don’t think I ever brought food in with me for a day hunt.
But I usually never eat till I get home from work either.

Spot on. Fat adapted metabolism is awesome and freeing. I actually perform better on trail runs when totally fasted and running on fat.Take control of your body and fast. It’s one of the more freeing things I have ever done.
If that’s not an option I would go thermos all the way. I use mine for lunch on the job site often.
That is what I meant when I posted you could make it with kydex and a squirrel step.I workout at 5am fasted but I would never leave the house for an all day hunt with no food. I used some mountain house meals this year with my MSR stove but normally just pack a sandwich and some snacks in a ziplock bag to avoid the sound of wrappers.
Did see this on instaface and thought it was cool concept.
