How Long to One Stick Climb to 20'?

was it easy the first time?...curious because I want to get a one stick for out of state hunts that dont allow spurs...was it taxing?...Im 56 not 36 when nothing was taxing on the cardio...lol

I am 62. Take your time long reaches are tiring. an extra move is easier than three reaches. It was not easy the first time. Nothing in life is easy the first time.

I didn’t have time to watch or read in detail yet, but what is the most common way of attaching stick to your person so you dont drop it while climbing?

Keep a rappel rope or gear grappler with a Doyle’s hoist to pick up a stick or attach some elastic cord to the stick. And your saddle.

I thought I'd post a video demonstrating how simple, quick and quiet single stick climbing can be. I also included a timed look at my descent process and how long it takes to pack up and head out. Also, remember, I'm a self-described OFG (old fat guy) :), if I can do it anyone can. I hope this helps some of you considering trying single stick climbing.

Great video. Since it was looking down from right above the top of your climb, it showed some things that I haven't clearly seen in other videos. Thanks!
