How many one stickers also hunt from the one stick vs. carry a platform/ROS?

I one-stick up the tree, then I:

I have been very happy with this system so far.

Mini-Shikar with angled scout on the bottom
Moved double step up for additional foot positions when shooting
paired with 3 TH steps on an OCB placed close to level with the angled scout

This gives me a great amount of options for shooting as well as foot position while waiting. I’m able to change pressures as needed to stay much more comfortable.

I carry the ROS in the pouch attached to the angled scout so everything is there together, nothing to have to fish out of a pack or a pouch on my saddle. It also took weight and bulk off of the back of my saddle where I used to carry the ROS so the saddle stays up better.

I use a modified hawk helium to one stick and then set my platform once at height. I almost exclusively carry my pack in when hunting and the predator platform just slides into my pack without any issues. If I where to leave my pack in the truck then I'd stand on the top of the stick, however without it having some sort of platform on it I don't see it being a viable solution for a few hour sit IMO.

Interesting. I played with a very similar setup but found that when the ROS strap went over the stick, the steps would be a bit spongy and slide down when weighted. The steps are firmer if I put the strap on the tree all the way around (more strap contact with the tree), but then there’s a little more fiddle factor in getting the steps and platform at the same level. Curious if you’ve had similar results and found any solutions….

This year, EWO with UP, with the right size tree haven't found the need for extra steps. Last year muddy pro one stick and an OOAL Solo Scout and three older Ameristep plastic steps on the cam buckle strap for the Scout.

I have been using my EWO with UP most of this season. I added four steps that I deploy on occasion, depending on the set. Currently I am hunting a piece of private land that has very few locations where I can hunt from an elevated position. Very brushy and thick. So with the limited locations, I have installed some of my extra sticks and platforms. Glad I didn't sell the stuff as the pre-sets are kinda nice. But I do keep my one stick handy for day to day adjustments.

LW seat on a homemade stick is what I use. Folds up with the top of the seat flush with the bottom of the top step and fits perfectly in the pouch of my Turkey vest.

Lol, yes.

I’m loving it. AND the cushion flips down and makes kneeling REAL comfortable,

Screenshot from a video I took. Can’t really see the cushion, but you can see the platform and the vest.

I love my LWCG Ambush, being new to saddle, I still find it more comfortable shooting from a standing position. A bigger platform let me do that.

I haven’t really noticed a huge problem with the steps moving much other than the initial settle. It is finicky to get the OCB just right but I’m getting it down pretty well.
