I know this isn't hunting related, however, it didn't fit any other area either, and I am hoping you guys can help. So this past winter I bought a CMMG Resolute 350 Legend. Gun shoots awesome, is very accurate, but my .25-06 has a special place, as it is a true do-it-all rifle. I have looked online, but it seems like prices are inflated right now, and I can't get a grip on what a true value is. Anybody have any suggestions on where to get it priced (local gun shop offered me next to nothing, as I think he thought I needed the money)? Any help would be awesome, and yes I searched before I posted.

Are you wanting to sell it to someone you know? If not, I'd ride the inflation bubble and make bank. If not, I'd go to the manufacturers website and look at the MSRP, realize that gun shops charge less than MSRP in normal times, and then go from there.

I’m no gun expert but I do buy and sell frequently. Right now prices are inflated but are starting to come down a bit. Inventory is also improving. So if you’re looking to sell then I’d do it now. It will be hard to get a firm price from any online source. There’s not exactly a Kelly BlueBook for guns that is accurate.

A local gun shop that you trust will give you an accurate price. I know you’ve been to the one shop but maybe try the next town over. However, just know that they will offer you lower than what the gun is worth to buy it because they have to turn around and resell it for profit.
Also, if you’re not a frequent customer there then they will view it as a potential waste of their time giving a price for a gun that they won’t buy. It’s not them being rude, it’s just a result of the craziness over the past year. I can ask my local gun shop their opinion on a price and get a straight answer because I buy from them monthly. I’ve seen the same conversation happen with a new customer and they decline to answer or give a wide range. Once again, not rude, just the nature of the business.

If your state allows private sales then I’d post the price you want on Armslist or similar site and go from there. Just my opinion.

If ya got ammo for it, the ammo might be worth more than the gun lol. Been thinking about getting a 350 but a gun I havent seen ammo for locally for months is kinda worthless.

Id go around to some of the other local gun stores and see what they have in stock. If they cant keep em in stock or cant get em, you can probably sell em locally close to retail, again especially if you have ammo to go with it.

Like others said, look at gunbroker, gunsamerica, etc and then price accordingly. If you have a cabelas near you with a gun vault see what they’ll offer you, I sold one of my rifles that way as they gave me $100 more than every gun shop around. If your gun shops are in a somewhat urban area try a gun shop out in the country, they may give more.

VA now too, no politics, but ever since the last election, lots of gun rights have changed, you do the math.

Is that even a real thing? A state u can't private sell a gun.....California I guess?
California gun owners just got some exciting news today, a federal judge ruled the assault weapons ban in Cali is unconstitutional, just happened today it was on the news.

I pretty much go with gunbroker pricing. They will still save 30 in shipping 25-40 on transfer fee and sales tax when applicable so it’s a good deal for them. In the current market I wouldn’t sale anything for a loss.
