Blurry pic from last year, but can confirm a healthy TN buck can fit in the trunk (with some leakage into the laid-down back seat) of a Ford Fusion!

Plenty of trunk room in the Civic for this little doe I shot in september... Hoping to test it on another/larger specimen soon...

Y’all know cargo carriers are like $50 lol that being said this is a good thread

Body bags are half that

while i do have a hitch on my civic, its only a class 1, and if im working this hard to get a deer i dont want it falling off the back when the hitch breaks lol. trunk it is for me. hopefully i'll shoot one that i have trouble loading.

I like this thread. I’ve been loading deer like this for a while now. The 2 on the roof ruined my struts last year so now she’s a low rider but she’s still kickin.

If I hunted a high traffic public area I would have a Subaru with every kinda hiking/biking/treehuggin/coexisting sticker I could fit on that thing along with as many bike racks as it would hold. No one would ever expect you were hunting AND the vast majority of the pompous butts that hunt there would go somewhere else because they didn’t want to have their hunt wrecked.

P.S. go to goodwill and pick up some booster seats to throw in the back so they think you have kids with you.

continuing the baja rabbit trail: when my honda element died a couple years back i shopped hard trying to find a baja with decent miles and didn't find something of interest in a timely manner so ended up going with a honda ridgeline. the ridgeline has been great for my needs: haulin deer home and haulin trash to the dump.

Mine is still going strong. I hauled some 2x6x12’ in it today and used the little bed extender hatch for the first time.

Gosh I wish I still had the pic but I don't. My father in law and I had 2 deer ,2 bow cases, 2stands in the back of my jeep wrangler. We had the back seat out and had to take the soft cover windows out because we had hooves sticking out all over the place lol good times.
