Ive been a life long archery hunter . I have several stands pre hung every year and have a mobile stick and stand set up and this year hunted a lot of the lone wolf climber . But I want to be more mobile and be able to prep several trees and hang steps or spikes and just walk in with my bow and saddle and hunt . I plan to get the tethrd phantom saddle after trying my buddies out .

On another note I had a really good season here in mass killing two mature bucks with the bow . Also killed two in ct with the bow and two with the shotgun between mass and ct

Welcome from Belchertown!
I have a Phantom and platform and I use WE stepps and a K/S or the Cain method for climbing.

I plan to get the phantom saddle and a platform . Plan to run the platform with a ring of steps around the platform . I just feel the platform will be more comfortable for a long sit . And the ring of steps will help me move around and shoot easier

I run an Aerohunter Kite, OOAL Podium and 3 Hawk Heliums with aiders.

Got a JX3 on the way to try out!

You lucky man . I been trying to get it in my cards to get out to Illinois or Kansas!

Welcome from a fellow newb. Long time hunter, but just started with the saddle this season. Running the Tethrd Phantom with the regular predator platform. I, too, looked into ROS and other methods to add to the stepping room of platform because I thought I would need it, but have found that the platform itself is enough for my needs. I'm able to shoot from all angles without issue. Sure, some shots will take some getting used to but keeping my feet on the platform and not having to move my body around the tree as much means less movement and less potential to make noise, so I'm just sticking with the platform alone for now. That's just my experience as a saddle beginner, so may be worth you trying that platform alone to see if it will meet your needs. Definitely some added advantages of ROS, though, and I'm sure I will eventually try those out as well. Good luck, and congrats on filling a bunch of tags already this season.

Yes I think I’ll just want some steps around the tree just to be able to move if I need to . Every tree is different and some you might not have to and others you might . So I want to be comfortable with both . I’m lucky to be able to set up a range in my backyard and practice shooting from trees all off season so I’ll perfect my plan before i ever hit the woods
