there's an all in answer for the believers and all in answer for the non believers IMHO they are just differentThis can be debated until the cows come home. Doubtful there will ever be an end-all-be-all answer.

It's my experience scent lok gives you an added advantage but it's no excuse for entering and exiting your set ups haphazardly. First you want to slip in without being detected...Isn't that the goal, just because I'm wearing a carbon suit doesnt give me passage to hunting mature bucks. Carbon no carbon...I believe a good part of John's success is being mobile and flexable... lets face it, most hunters hunt the same spots every year like sitting in the same spot at church. I've been very successful hunting mature bucks and yes love scent lok products but I'm the most strategic stealthy hunter compared to other hunters. My plan and analysis of a given buck is done well before the season, and I've passed up more than my share of 120 class bucks here in Michigan. I'm a stickler on keeping everything clean and I mean everything including washing my backpack and harness. All in all guys, smell, noise, and a bucks ability to see you are in his favor...I was wondering if anyone here uses John Eberharts scent control strategies and the carbon clothing. I mostly mean his claim that he simply ignores the wind.
Has anyone here had any success using this strategy and also ignoring the wind. I want to believe John, but i was wondering if i could get any testimonials for his exact method as the area i hunt has terrain and constantly swirling winds and is a pain in the ass to hunt. Thanks
I do the same thing with about the same results as you get.I haven't hunted the wind a day in my life. I've been using scentlok for 10 years and I hardly ever get busted. That is usually when its really hot and I sweated a lot or when I was lazy in my system.
I am a solid example that Johns scent regimen works. I did an article in Michigan Woods and Water magazine recently with before and after pics. I’ve shot all of my biggest bucks, including a 171 inch public land Iowa buck, without one thought about wind direction. 4 pope and young bucks and just as many close to P&Y bucks plus a box full of 2&1/2 year olds without an ounce of consideration to wind direction. How can this be? I follow a strict scent eliminating regimen that I lifted directly from Johns books including activated carbon suits. I use a saddle. I use common sense. I use my own hunting experience. But none of those are as valuable without being odorously invisible. It’s not impossible. John does it. I do it. Hope this helps.I was wondering if anyone here uses John Eberharts scent control strategies and the carbon clothing. I mostly mean his claim that he simply ignores the wind.
