JX3 arrived!

Jonard?

Looks interesting. Collapses to 33" and 2.4 lbs. Smallest packed profile I've seen. Pricey. How easy and quiet does it extend and collapse? Fragile at all? Don't want to break one at that price.

I made an offer on Ebay and got it for $81.00 delivered. I've extended it to try out and believe it's a quality tool. If handled properly I believe it will serve me well. It's quiet.

I agree. My problem is i cant find a climbing method. Im a climber guy for last 30yr. Just cant get into sticks so far. I literally wanna climb w my lone wolf assault and hunt out of the jx3

Btw, anyone impale their calf with the carving fork yet? I was messing around trying to climb with my lone wolf top portion and I could see the potential.

I was in your shoes when I started with the JX 3. Thirty years in a climber. Climbing with sticks felt foreign at first, but my main issue was that they aggregated my plantar fasciitis. As a result I started using a modified LWHC as my climbing method and Platform.

This will be my fourth season using the LWHC as my climbing method and it climbs so easily. My only complaint was that it was easy to accidentally kick it loose while hunting so I solved that by adding a small bungee off the front edge that is attached to a small T screw below. I install the screw with bungee attached when I near my hunting height, attach the other end of the bungee to the outer edge of the LW and then climb past the screw until I feel the bungee pulling against the LW. Very simple, lightweight, and virtually impossible to knock the LW loose by mistake.

I have climbed like you with my aero kite but i can’t seem to make it work with jx3. I deploy seat but cant seem to push myself far enough from tree to have enough room to raise lwhc. Suggestions? Lower tether?

Trying that method made me sell my JX3 Wish i would have kept it and tried a different method with it but i was pretty aggravated at the time
