JX3 Hybrid One Stick Setup With The OAL Slick Rick

Just wanted to share for those of you that might have a JX3 hybrid and enjoy tinkering etc. I previously one stick climbed with the jx3 hybrid several times just using the top step of my climbing stick. Climbing was fine sitting in the JX3 was fine standing was ok, but moving around the tree was a little bit more difficult especially being worried that the climbing stick could kick out when putting too much pressure on the top step when using it as a minimalist platform.

I recently received out on a limb’s slick Rick one stick and couldn’t be happier with its form and function as well as the packability with the JX3! Below, you can see my somewhat minimalist lazyboy set up.

Rothco water bottle pouches attached to molle loops on side straps. I’m right handed so my 36’ climbing rope is on my right side as well as my pull-down rope (Doyle’s gear hoist). On the left is my kill kit along with grunt tube and rattle bag as well as bow holder tree strap. Everything folds up in center while in transport with room for extra layers for late season.
