Kestrel back strap

I thought I saw a thread about this but I can't find it. Has anyone modified the ropes/attachment points that come from new tribe to attach the back strap to the bridge? I've already lost one of the black cords that came with my kestrel that's supposed to be used to attach it to the bridge.

Keep your clips on the black accessory cord and they'll stay in place.

I haven’t talked with New Tribe about this yet but the clips that came with my back strap are total junk. First trial at ground level even just barely putting any weight on the belt led to both clips to immediately spread and ruin the clip mechanism. Maybe they rushed the order and sent it with the junk clips in hopes it would suffice? I am happy to have it as the clip issue is minor but still a disappointment. Everything else seems high quality. I am working on doing something to replace those now useless clips.

I replaced mine with aluminum #2 Nite-Ize S-Biner’s and haven’t had any issues since.

Yes the 25 pound nite ize work great and im a big guy.

Apparently they replaced those with a different biner. Got my Kestrel last week and they said the backrest biners would be sent separately because they were on back order because they switched to a different biner. They came yesterday. I assume they're different from what came with yours.
