You guys are amazing! I too was inspired by Lean Machine, but I have too many unfinished projects now to start another one. However, I would love to request a post-season update. What would you do different? Like how would you stiffen the strap body?
Personally, I have been fantasizing about a frame pack for platforms, stands, meat, etc. with 2 bottle holsters and a small pack for kill kit, calls, food, etc. on a shove-it pocket. This would be everything I need for early season. After temps drop a bit, I feel like most of what I carry in a pack is just stuff that I wear in stand, high bulk but low weight. I have been thinking that the way to carry this stuff is in a super light weight bag, like for a sleeping bag or a backpacker's dity bag, which could also make for a good bag in the tree for my rappel rope and other stuff that I want handy.
Personally, I have about decided that the easy part of saddle hunting is climbing a tree, but the hardest part is managing all the stuff ya gotta have to climb safely and hunt all day.

What are the dimensions on this bag? Is this made with a single ply of cordura? How do you know what size zippers to use? Any tips to go about making a pattern for this build?A quick update as I prepare to take a few days off for a hunt. I made a low profile bag to mount to the cargo panel to carry my kill kit, and a bag inspired by the Kifaru Claymore to mounted to the front of the Stryker bag, which currently contains my saddle and ropes.
This foliage green fabric is a little lighter than the last batch. The joys of eBay fabric!

I roughly followed the dimensions Kifaru lists on their site. What are the dimensions on this bag?

I make pretty much everything with a #8 or a #10 zipper. Since this isn't a good application for a beefy #10, it gets a #8.How do you know what size zippers to use?
Use the 1" webbing and MOLLE seen in the product images to gauge relative sizes. If you do this and think about each panel as its own separate piece, it's a very simple build.Any tips to go about making a pattern for this build?
Thanks! I’d like to start making pack accessories this off season. This seemed like a simple enough pouch to start with.I roughly followed the dimensions Kifaru lists on their site.
