These are klein climbing spurs with pole gaffs.

They’re steel so not the lightest but great for entry level.

I’ve camo’d them and paracord wrapped also silenced the buckles with paracord inside the rollers. So they’re as quiet as it gets with the leather pads.

They can but there’s really no need unless you’re climbing trees with super thick bark. Pole gaffs are fine for 99% of eastern trees. Your foot being closer to the tree makes it easier for beginners also. Its a lot less leverage on your knees.
