It has been a long time since I have been this excited about the up coming season. I really like the 4 step aides method and the video that no ninja showed. I think that defines truly how to be versatile and light weight mobile hunter. Thanks for the well done video.

I was having the same problem with the knaider but if you slide the hook to the 9oclock position on your knee it makes a world of difference you can kinda twist your hip on the way up and hook very easily then straight out and stand

That’s great I was hoping for a climbing stick method of knaiders to come out

I started doing this same thing. I couldn’t get comfortable with bringing my knee straight up and leaning so far away from the tree. Twisting just added so much stability.

Instead of using amsteel for the attachment point for the Swaider /knaider on the sticks , could you use tubular webbing girth hitched instead ?

What you think?

I girth hitch an overhand looped rope, it works just fine. I would assume tubular webbing would work for the sw. Not sure if I'd be as confident catching it with the kn hook though.

Guys, is there any problem using 7/64” Amsteel for my continuous loops? Do I need 1/4”?

I never did get an answer. I know you can buy pre-made loops from some of the same places you can buy the Amsteel from, but I would just make my own. It's super simple, especially with a coat hanger modified to bury the rope. It's got a high enough break strength, so I know 7/64" would hold. My only concern is the diameter might be a bit small for the hook on the knaider to hold onto. Does that make sense?

Use the link I suggested above. That’s what I ended up buying and they work.
