You don't know how plastic feels different than aluminum or titanium or even majority carbon fiber? As soon as I touched it, I could feel the plastic feel. As soon as I put it on the tree, I could hear the sound I don't like. Not that I like metal banging together though. I am sure they're durable I haven't tested their durability. I put them in the tree and climbed with four or them one time and wasn't a fan.
Yeah, I mean we can go in circles about it. I just don't have a feel for that.
Plastic and metal are both solids. Given the same heft, texture, smoothness, I don't know what else there is to feel in the hand other than warmth. Like a Corian countertop feels warmer than a quartz countertop.
Injection molded CF composites have a density close to 1/2 of aluminum, but I don't know that I can feel that. I can't discern other physical properties like hardness or melting point by hand. Idk, like I said I guess that's an individual thing.
You don't like the sound on the tree, that's a complaint I can understand. I haven't used them to know how I feel about it. As said, there's been video of some nasty Tethrd ONE stick noise on trees as well. I'm not saying one is better than another or one can be mitigated moreso than another.
Just wanted to clarify some details that I think are important when labeling the stick "plastic". That's so far from telling.
