I am 280 lbs. I have no worries using it as my bridge. I inspect every time. As previously said I would not use it as a lanyard for a tether or linesman. But as a bridge it works well

Joe, what dia. Amsteel is your bridge?

how long a piece would you need to build a 36 ' bridge if you put a loop on each end and lockstiching one side?

I just made a bridge out of 5/16 Amsteel.
36" for the bridge
8" for each bury = 16"
8" for each eye= 16"

So you will need 68" of Amsteel. I would add a couple inches because when you bury the 8" it seems to shorten what you have by about an inch per bury. I don't know if that will stretch out with use or not.
This stuff is extremely tough to cut!

Sharp knife on a cutting board cuts it just fine.
