How many of you climb using your tether instead of your lineman belt? I’ve been doing it lately and it seems to work fine.

I actually use both. Tether for safety and LB for stability. Overkill? Maybe but for the few extra seconds it adds, it's worth it to me for peace of mind.

This is what I do for one-sticking. The tether is certainly much safer than the lineman’s belt but I like the added stability when moving up from the lineman’s belt. It adds a few seconds but also helps make me slow down so I don’t get so hot going up.
