Little Debbie's

I have always liked the oatmeal creme pies and starcrunch but it seems last couple years they taste different and I don't like them much anymore. I take fruit, granola type stuff, and jerky with me hunting... Chocolate stuff is a huge mess

I can't handle too much spam, but it's best fried. Maybe chopped up, fried, and mixed with scrambled eggs.

Come to think of it a Spam breakfast taco would probably be pretty good.
And a little debbie single serve pumpkin pie to wash it down.

I take two or three Met-Rx bars out of their wrapper and put them in a zip-lock. A lot of calories & protein in a small meal.

It's good to have both calories and protein while on stand in chilli and downright cold weather.

This is a toss up.. If I am going for the evening, I tend to stop and buy a candy bar on the way to my hunting spot. If I purchase LDs to save money in bulk, they will get eaten outside of hunting days.
My neighbor always told me take and apple, eat it on the way in, smear it on the tree in front of you before you take your spot. It never helped as far as I know....

Did the neighbor kill a lot of deer?

No. We didn't kill much growing up. Looking back wind direction meant nothing, we over hunted, and hunted less when we should have been because it got cold. There was a lot of... Let's just wait for gun season next weekend. Looking back it was prime time. Never hunted all day either. Pretty sure the deer went thru after we left or were at breakfast! There was fewer deer and more hunters. Plus I don't think my parents really liked venison.. which probably had more to do with my mom over cooking it.

I won’t buy it regularly but I will concede that pan fried bologna ups the flavor by 300% and makes for a killer sammich
Fried bologna sandwiches are amazing, and smoked bologna is even better!

On a sandwich, add two or three slices of cheese, some mustard, a slice of onion, and a fried egg and it's a meal fit for a king. A cold beer makes it even better.

Now I'm gonna have to say that if you add an egg, it's gotta be a Taylor Ham and egg on a hard roll with salt/pepper/ketchup! Haha!

97 posts in. But I'm glad this thread was started. Good memories of my grandpa. I don't eat them often, but Oatmeal Cream Pies will always make me think of him.
Lol, my grandad always fed me oatmeal cream pies and mountain dew’s when I was a kid. I’ve eaten them with my fingers covered in nightcrawler dirt when we were fishing. Good times.

Boy. Does that thought get my blood sugar buzzing to think about.... But it also makes my mouth water some. I would pay for that with a migraine the next day I think.
