Well its safe to say I'll have many methods to get to height depending on where I end up. I have a large arsenal thanks to this site.
I believe it doesDoes the final model have a way to level the platform?
Yes but it’s another metal on metal moving part with a potential for noise. Can’t wait to see how it actually is in usage but I’ll have to fake someone else’s word on it for a while. I’m happy with my ros.Does the final model have a way to level the platform?
I will be doing this later before leaving for up north. It requires a pretty short bolt because the alumibutton mounting hole is recessed. I think it needs 1/4-20 x 3/4in or 1in or maybe a bit shorter. I'll know later.Has anyone tried DanO's AlumiButton without drilling to replace the stock bolt?
Yes, please do let us know and also specifically the bolt that you find fits.I will be doing this later before leaving for up north. It requires a pretty short bolt because the alumibutton mounting hole is recessed. I think it needs 1/4-20 x 3/4in or 1in or maybe a bit shorter. I'll know later.
To be clear, at this point two people have reported a bending bolt and I've seen other guys using the platform without the stock bolt bending. There's either inconsistency in the bolts or inconsistency in the way the platforms are being used (e.g. more severe of camming, heavier guys, tree diameter, etc.)

There are times when standing just makes sense based on the tree, shot angle, etc. It's nice to have it as an option. Also, I found the larger platform (Assassin) to simply be more comfortable than the Predator and provides a greater sense of stability/safety.
Here in Oklahoma you rarely find the perfect tree that's straight and without crazy limbs everywhere. Because of this the more options the better.
Wow, check out how off center this bolt is. Looks like their tap or jig was two human hands.
