Mantis or Trophyline

I just unboxed my Ambush by Trophyline and I’m a little disappointed!! The leg straps are not adjustable. They are huge on me and that’s after having layers on. I’m 5’ 10” 216 lbs athletic build and I was so pissed off. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be that big but there’s no way to adjust them?!? Guys, am I’m missing something here?

So I have to say the non-adjustable leg straps are not an issue because I can see that once my weight is loaded, they will be perfect. I’m looking forward to getting in the saddle soon. My back is still in bad shape (sux) but my buddy said he climbed and hung in his Ambush and it was like sitting in a hammock! That’s great news because his ass is bigger than mine. LOL

Thanks for the code! So trophyline better than mantis?!? I’m itching to get one but want to get the right one first go around!

I won't say one saddle is "better" then the other, they are all a little different. its like asking a group of guys what type of truck is "better" you are going to get different answers from different people.

Your best bet is to search the forum for reviews on whatever saddles you are interested in and then make a decision based on what's important to you, weight, comfort, buckles bulk, etc. You will be in the minority if you end up finding the saddle you want and stick with in your first attempt. I did a ton of research on the first saddle I bought to make sure I bought the "right" saddle. Since then I've owned three commercial saddles and built several DIY saddles.

Also, check out the saddle Hunter map in the "announcement" forum and if your lucky their might be someone close to you that will let you try out one of their saddles.

I ordered a Trophyline Saturday mainly because it’s the only one that’s in stock. This will be my first saddle . Planning to use it drt. Or srt.

About the discount codes, both have a military discount, if you email them. 25% off saddles and platforms from Tethrd, 10% off everything from TL.

I was just checking out the TL saddle, looks nice! Are the US made or import? I'm not seeing anything on their website
