Hello all.
I am really liking scrolling through some of the conversations here. I am a whitetail hunter in west central mi. I am relatively new to saddle hunting although have watched a family member do it for years. Always have been a hang-on guy. I love the concept if the sling and will be setting up my spots to use it next season. Looking forward to learning as much as I can in preservation. Nothing set in stone yet, but here is my projected (subject to change) set-up:
1. Trophy line tree saddle with a modified static rope style tree tie in.
2. Muddy hunter sticks. The longer style with cam buckles because the rope style are to short...I am tinkering with a rope style extension loop on bottom stick to reach that needed height for wary mi. bucks
3. Foot steps.... Still playing with some scenarios. Screw in steps are acceptable but looking for a strap method style that is light weight, portable and SILENT.

Welcome, there is some good hunting land up in Michigan. I hunted up there a few years ago and killed a decent six.
