How many folks are we expecting? If I got a hankering, I might haul the smoker and a couple pork butts?

I’ve had 28 submit interest with another 15 possible friends coming. I don’t expect everyone will be free that weekend but hoping for 30.

One of my good friends from HS and her husband own Zimmerman meats in Salem/Summersville. Maybe I can talk them into donating some meat!

I'll be there for sure, wife and kids included. Thinking we'll pull the camper and stay Saturday night.

Might be able to supply some whole wild hog(s), bring your taco/fajita fixin's and we'll make it a party.

If everyone keeps offering to hook up the lot of us maybe we can figure out a few “group” meals. If everyone is ok with that I can put together a list and let people grab what they want to bring from it.

Thinking could be 3 meals.

Saturday Lunch and Dinner and then maybe a Sunday breakfast.

I plan on staying Saturday night to scout Sunday AM/early afternoon.

IF WE GET 15-20 LIKES ON THIS POST I WILL CREATE A LIST!!

Did this get canceled yet

Not yet. I’m hoping by the end of May life has settled and the large get togethers are ok again! We will probably have to make the decision first week of May or so.

Hey guys it’s little over 3 weeks away and been patiently waiting to see how things were going to develop with the virus.

What is everyone thinking??

Personally I’m all for keeping original plan.

It's hard to say at this point in time.

I think with the statewide stay at home order expiring, we should be able to see if there are any associated trends in confirmed cases over the next couple of weeks. It might be prudent to wait till then?

That does cut it kind of close for a week of lead time to make the determination. I know given my schedule and proximity to the location it wouldn't be a big deal to postpone it last minute, however that may not be realistic for our more remote and/or busy peers.

I'm also curious, what do the rest of you think?

I think we would be fine to do it as long as the campground is still open, it would probably be way safer than going to a Home Depot during this time.

I’m still in, if the area is open and my job lifts the restriction on out of state travel. I live 10-15 miles from the AR/MO state line. Maybe I won’t be stricken if I cross over to the northern hinterlands of Missourah.
