L&M fleet supply is my new favorite place to shop

Check out a mills fleet farm* if you're looking for a new favorite store... the man's mall. Grew up with the old man always telling us that "if fleet farm doesn't have it, you don't need it"

*not Blains farm and fleet... big difference

My cart yesterday had 100 grain field tips, .22 bullets, windshield washer fluid, hamburger buns, and some ketchup.

Mine will usually consist of:
Claeys old fashioned candies (lemon or horehound)
Hardware of some flavor
Fishing/hunting depending on season
Animal medical (tons of uses for cheap)

I love L&M, but Fleet Farm is what L&M wants to be when it grows up.

I spent 9 years in Grand Marais. I miss the land, the town, the scenery, the big lake.... I do not miss the cost of real estate or groceries. Or having to bring multiple dinner ideas to the 3 grocery stores in hopes that between the three of them, you might be able to find all of the ingredients for something as exotic as tacos.

What a day!! Snowshoeing in Heyward

here’s a quick video from our Wisconsin trip

Pass! o_O I complain at the cold weather we get here in N.W. Ohio. I can't imagine living any further north.
Actually, I'm leaving for Orlando, Florida in a week. It's already in the upper 70s and mid 80s there.

***You'll never hear anyone say, "When I retire, I'm moving up north."

North Dakota born, Florida raised and will call southern Minnesota home as long as I can foresee... the awesome thing about the seasons here and loving the outdoors is it forces you to alternate hobbies... by the time you are ready to be done for a while, the season changes and you have to go with another one anyway!!

One of the things I missed about the Midwest when I lived in AZ was the change in seasons... yeah, AZ gets cold, and monsoons, and flurries in the winter... but the dramatic annual shifts between 100F summers and -60F winters means that the seasons are always in transition, with lots of opportunities for different things. And lots of mild temps during those transitions. And a couple of days (OK, weeks) when you just want to nest up and make bone broth and soup and bake things during cold snaps, or go to the lake during heat waves... lots of great family memories made on those days.

We have all 4 seasons here, deer, duck, turkey and fishing. ;)

We didn’t expect one this big! Ice fishing in Hayward, WI. You have to use this guide service!
Another special day with the family on “planet Hoth.”
