Modification to my Kestrel

Just doing a little bit of modifying and thought I’d share.

Added the dump pouches. RT has my tether. LT has my back rest slingy thingy(almost fits easily). Put the AHKmolle accessory eye hook and clip onto the eye hooks of the dump pouches in case I want to attach anything else during the ascend(ie bow hoist rope, range finder, large screen TV, etc).

Added the cheap Whalemart suspenders to distribute some of the weight from my lower back(four bulging discs) to my shoulders.
Feels very good and well distributed.
Let me know if you slayers have any questions or recommendations.

I have been looking for a couple dump pouches. I was hoping to find one that fit 4 Amerasteps on a strap. What can you all fit in one? Will a lineman’s belt and tether fit in one? With the summit side bag I have been using I can fit LB, teather and Amerasteps in large pouch. Screw in bow hooks or strap on version in one side pocket, and pull up rope in smaller side pocket. Oh and a whicked hand saw in lower center pocket. Everything I could need for the ascent. I haven’t put it on the kestrel yet but it is a do all pouch and will attach to the kestrel a little more secure than the evo.

I definitely can not fit more than one rope (LB or tether) in each pouch. The other stuff will have to be in a pocket or my pack

I agree my friend. I feel as if it takes some of the pressure off my lower back. Don’t ever get old!
