I am almost positive I could because my mom and step dad are really good friends with the owner. Is there any chance you could get permission to hunt the golf course? A lot of golf courses are like deer magnets, basically big, manicured food plots.
That is good news on the permission front. From what you said and what I have seen a major component of successfully hunting this spot would be access and camouflage (in a non traditional form). Camouflage means blending in to go unnoticed. If it were me, I would dress inconspicuously in muted colors but not anything out of the ordinary for the area. I would not wear camouflage hunting clothes. Is the golf course open all year long and 7 days a week? If not you might be able to access it on closed days. With the owners permission this would be easy and you could even ride a cart out to hunt. Get an old golf bag to carry your hunting gear in. Deer get used to that sort of thing and I doubt it would spook them at all.I am almost positive I could because my mom and step dad are really good friends with the owner.
I do have permission to fish all the ponds on the course as long as i dont distract or get in the way of workers or of course customers. The real problem here is access.
Remember I live in extreme south Jersey and alot of people that reside here are very anti gun/ hunting.
People around here get super nervous if they see someone walking around with a gun or a bow with cammo on. Lol
This would be Super highly visible access to get in there unless i walk from straight behind my mom’s which then the deer would eventually pattern me especially after a few hunts.
Shame but there just seems at times certain spots you just gotta move on from especially from developments. We lose so much land every day from development
You are very welcome. I enjoy watching a couple of youtube channels that the guys specialize in urban hunting, and they drag some monsters out of people's flower beds, so it is definitely doable. It seems to me half the battle would be avoiding unwanted attention from humans. The other half would be more traditional deer hunting tactics. These are Actually some really good ideas.
people dont think of things like this in urban settings.
thnks for the tips my friend.
Yes i could hunt it im sure. You are very welcome. One other thing. You mentioned that marsh to the East, or right of the screen in your video. Who owns that and could you hunt it? The good thing about a marsh is all that wet ground is not too attractive to developers.
I'm so bad at golf that might be an improvement over my clubs lol
Sounds like you need to go Timberpimp!!!I am almost positive I could because my mom and step dad are really good friends with the owner.
