Guys, I have been trying this style of hunting for years, trying different blinds and chairs available. This is my favorite by far.
I mainly did this for hunting northern Maine where we typically walk/ still hunt. I wanted something better for when I stopped at a great spot.
I didn't want to always have to climb a tree. I use it for all states now.
The chair is very comfortable and swivels 360 and is only 3 lbs 1 oz.
I DIY the blind using this fabric: 70D Nylon Ripstop - DWR - MultiCam® - 59/60" - Camo Fabric Depot
And these tent poles: Tent Pole Technologies - Specializing in fiberglass and aluminum tent pole relacement and parts
After buying the carbon tent poles, I realized that my old piledriver carbon arrows were the same ID.
Sometimes I just grab my Dryad Drey and the blind. That's around 2 lbs and fits in my pack.
With the chair the total is 4 lb 4 oz and fits in my pack.

HELINOX I got it from REI... Stealth Stripped of course. I don't think they are available anymore.

Really cool, gets me inspired for a similar off-season kit build!

36" Which is perfect when the ground is flat. But that rarely happens. So it ends up too low if I am on a hill and too high if I am in a hole. If its too high I can just pull the fabric down. I am thinking about adding another 6-9" of mesh that I can put on if needed.
Problem I need to solve first is wind. In a good wind this fabric moves and if the wind is strong enough it snaps loudly.
My next move will be to add webbing to the top and add a spot to put string and a stake to the center panel to hold it stiff.

What you think about something like this?

I have had ones with that type of fabric and it really moves with the wind. I know all leaves move. Late season it can be the only thing wiggling. I had one from Primos i think that extended up. Still too small tho.

Thanks.
I used some blind material from China Mart. Has holes in it that help a little bit in the wind, but you still have to pick your days.
I used these poles, they don't fold, but the height is perfect with the Pac Seat.

I picked up some of this. Tried something similar with some driveway stakes. I was using it with the ghost blind on the sides to try and conceal some more. Deer still came over to check us out. But we spooked them before we could shoot. Still looks a little off in the open I think.
I really like my ghost blind for the most part, but still haven’t fully committed to it and only comes out a few times a season… last week I picked up a Hickory Creek crossbow thinking that might be a better combo with it. I do close to the truck sits w the ghost blind but haven’t found the motivation to hike it way in.

My opinion so far. You still need back cover and little front. Late in the season it can still stand out. If you need that much cover why use it? I can see early and mid season working better. But late season you gotta real evaluate where your setting up.

So you don't think this type is worth it?

Depends on where you are using it. I don't think it will work as the only cover. To obvious. But seems helpful in improving cover. After season I was gonna play with it some in different set ups. Take some pictures of it and see how it looks.
It does have a very plastic feel to it. If you run it strait I can see how it has a flat look to it which seems un natural. I think it has a place or way to use it. I just haven't had time to figure it out. To be effective for a bow, I think it needs to not be strait and have some logs mixed in or tree trunks.

Nice setup! There used to be an Apache Pyramid blind that I have been thinking of trying to build out of tent poles and some type of material.
