New Hunter/New to Saddle Hunting NJ

I am new to hunting this season and wanting to give saddle hunting a shot, hence the “latestart”. I have a couple hand me down treestands and have gotten to see a few deer still hunting from the ground. I don’t know anyone that hunts so I am figuring it all out trial and error. A couple close calls but haven’t gotten my first deer just yet. I will welcome any advice/guidance as I start to read through all the threads. If there is anyone close to ocean county NJ I would love to drive out and check out a saddle in person.

Wellcome late start. I would be glad to give u the chance to check out the saddle set up .. im in shamong about 1 hour west of u ..pm me we can set some thing up.. pinebarrens
