I found this site at the end of November while looking up tree saddles. Everyone here is very friendly and the DIY threads are amazing. I already made a DIY saddle following the design in the pulpit thread ( @noxninja ). I made my tether and lineman rope using some rope and carabiners from a local arborist supply store. and after 3 sits, I got my first saddle kill. Looking forward to getting everything adjusted to my style and tastes for more hunts from a saddle.

Welcome! And congrats on the kill! There's a few of us Arkansas boys on here. We're a bit scattered across the state though.

Welcome from SE Michigan! Way to jump in and git 'r dun.

good to see an Arkansas brother on here! I'm like you, stumbled into this after reading a few books listening to few podcasts and youtube videos and I got sucked down the rabbit hole that seems to be saddle hunting! Haven't had the chance to kill a deer from it yet, im still researching which direction to go for my first saddle. my plan is to be saddle ready when the 19 season rolls in. With Aerohunter, Tethred, and now JX3, seems like it is an exciting time to be getting into it! Congrats on your early success!

Thanks for the warm welcome and kind words. There is a wealth of knowledge and great DIY ideas here. I am looking forward to perfecting my setup over the rest of our bow season here. Can't wait for next season in the saddle.
