For the One Stickers..... What are is your equipment of choice? Obviously you have a saddle so not really talking about that part. More interested in the stick/aider combo you use?

I run the original style muddy pro stick with a single 24" aider that double loops around my lower standoff. This is my first year with it, I've made 3 climbs and already can set up at 22' in less than 3 minutes. I will NOT go back to using a full set of sticks.

This will be my first full season with it so take it for what its worth. I'm using a full size helium stick stock strap with cable aider. If it works out as hoped I plan on getting the DanO ultralight stick and trying different stick attachment styles.

I use a 1-step mini stick - hawk helium cut down to 10” with a cam cleat and amsteel rope. 3-step ladder style aider I made from tubular webbing. I only use the bottom rung on the aider when I’m stepping up from the ground so I can put the stick up as high as possible. Otherwise a 2-step would be fine.

I use the Muddy pro sticks. Even though they are a little heavier you’re only carrying one stick. I like that the sticks fold up because if you get in a situation where your rope gets stuck behind the step and you have weight on the rope it is easy to just fold the step and get yourself out of a bind.

DanO ultralight stick 20” with tilted steps. Daisy chain strap also from DanO, then an AmSteel 1 step aider permanently attached.

I’ve used a lot of different sticks to one stick with, and starting last year, I started using a muddy stick with a single aider, best I’ve used so far. This year I have an Artisian Outdoors platform on the top of my one-stick and will be rappelling down. The cam cleat is so much easier for me rather than a buckle, rope mod, or versa strap, although all of them will do the trick. Double steps are not mandatory by any means but sure do make it nicer.

I used a muddy pro last year , but built a featherlight stick this season from DanO. Installed a Harken cam cleat and just have to install the amsteel now.

Have 7/64 amsteel that I’m going to do a full bury on once I get the fid in that I ordered

...same...I already got the amsteel aider from Danos site and if I decide 1 sticking is better for me as an every scenario climbing method, I'll be going with DanOs LW stick.

You may find wire to work better with 7/64. I don't have a small enough fid for it though.

I just installed the Harken cam cleat into my Helium mini stick. How are you all anchoring the rope to the stick ?(new to this)
