Killed this one a couple years ago on that hunt, first and only deer in the snow. Good luck!

I'm about to board my plane bound for AZ for a mule deer hunt with my brother. We tried late season in January and didnt have any luck so we are doubling down on early season velvet. Fingers crossed... my bow is now in the hands of the very capable delta baggage handlers... :anguished:
How did it go? Down in Cochise County we had some good velvet bucks fall. Mulie and coues.

Got it done in Az opening weekend on my first archery coues. Headed to Ohio for my first early season hunt in 12 years. Then I'll get a new OTC Az tag and chase mulies and or Coues in mid December and January. Wish I figured it out years ago that AZ coues is awesome, I wanted a lot of time!

It was pretty brutal. Hiked over 65 miles looking for Muleys. It is supposed to be the monsoon season and all the creek beds were dry and it was mid 90s the whole week so a lot of the movement happened after dark. I finally drew back on a wide 2x3 the second to the last day and missed at 60yds. Not sure if it was the nerves or I miss ranged him. It was a great time though.
