Buy once cry once. Hands down best all around hunting pants being made right now.I thought they only made women’s jean pants that expensive.
The FL pants depending on how you hunt may last one or two seasons tops. Read the reviews on the FL website on them. I’ve had them. They got thrashed. I went to Stone Glacier gear only now. Hence why I’m selling all my FL gear in the classifieds. This is pretty darn close to what I am thinking. I am gonna try to snag some of the first lite corrugate foundry pants on sale if they put them back up for the end of the year and I have a little Christmas jingle in my pocket. I have some of their other stuff and have really loved it
sorry OP for thead hijack, ive been leaning towards the first lite corrugate foundry for my first pair of expensive pants (walmart wrangler stretch user here) because i've heard they're warm, the knee pads intrigues me, and i'm looking for mid-later season capable pants, the cheap wranglers are great for the price point but basically pointless below 45 in my opinion.Buy once cry once. Yeah, don't impersonate an officer but green BDU pants and a green or tan shirt are not impersonating anybody. If someone Assumes you are and heads the other directing, well, that is fine. Just like I was saying about the green truck with brush guard and antennas all over it. Don't put an insignia on it but if people assume it's the warden's truck, oh well. This is a great idea. I don't want to get in trouble for impersonating an officer, but looking vaguely like one while scouting and hunting might keep people out of your public land honey hole!
this season I started buying most of my new gear and clothes in coyote tan. I feel like no matter what the circumstance, that color fits everywhere.. besides maybe snow. Also, its hard as hell for me to see deer in the woods and brown seems to be the perfect color to blend in nature
Have you tried the Kuiu Attack Pant. I have several friends that swear by them.Buy once cry once. Hands down best all around hunting pants being made right now.
Yes I have sir. I will explain. I would say the stone glacier pants are excellent if you are doing east coast hunting or Idaho Colorado Alaska hunting also. It’s all you need for any of those. If you know you only hunt in one state 99 percent of the time then they may not be the right choice. I wear them out in town and they don’t appear tactical or out of place at all. The material is bomb proof. I know from sliding down shale in Idaho line Clark Griswald on a sled. They have full side zips for the walk in and out. The customer service is an American on the phone in Montana every single time. The warranty is bomb proof. They have a built in belt and the zipper itself is adjustable via Velcro based on what layering system you have on or how much PBR you drank.Have you tried the Kuiu Attack Pant. Yes. And these accept any knee pad in them also. You could even custom cut your own foam ones or use whatever ones you want to slip in them.sorry OP for thead hijack, ive been leaning towards the first lite corrugate foundry for my first pair of expensive pants (walmart wrangler stretch user here) because i've heard they're warm, the knee pads intrigues me, and i'm looking for mid-later season capable pants, the cheap wranglers are great for the price point but basically pointless below 45 in my opinion.
the DWR coating etc does appeal, any chance you have direct expereince with the FL pants or others to compare with the SG's?
edit: well crud nevermind you were answering as i was asking lol
You had the actual foundry version? The website seems like its mostly rave reviews. I know they beefed up the foundry in response to prior complaints....Everything I have read is that this pant is much tougher than the old corrugates or the merino modelsThe FL pants depending on how you hunt may last one or two seasons tops. not possible...Killed all my deer in Walmart camo pants. They are cheap and I don’t care if they get ruined.
Which FL pants?... I've got corrugate guide pants and am in my 3rd season... they're still in great shapeThe FL pants depending on how you hunt may last one or two seasons tops.
