Yeah that was a disgrace to both teams IMHO.
Really screwed my last chance on squares. Eagles chances of a td we’re pretty good if kc kicked a field goal and hurts got the ball back with a minute left

So as a big Eagles fan I’m super annoyed at the bogus holding call. I don’t think it absolutely changed the outcome of the game, because Philly was struggling and making no adjustments against an excellent KC team. I won’t say the refs stole the game from them. I think they did rob all NFL fans of a very interesting last 90 seconds to see what Philadelphia might have done, in which they possibly could have overturned the score. But to do that, again, they would have HAD to beat an excellent KC team. Congrats, Chiefs for game well played.

What I think this Super Bowl revealed to me is the NFL has a serious officiating problem that until they resolve it either stirs up minor concerns that all of this is rigged, or stirs up major sentiment that this is a silly circus of entertainment clownery. This is the most watched television event of the year, and you refs/NFL have a controversial call in the last 2 minutes? The momentum of an offense is humming downfield, and suddenly you stop everything (multiple times) to review if an imperceptibly “bobbled” ball is a catch? (And I don’t just mean this because my Eagles lost. Pick nearly any high stakes NFL game and you’ll find controversy about is a catch and what isn’t.) How many playoff games (going back multiple seasons) do we have to watch with these controversial calls that leave an asterisk looming over the final score?

If I’m a NFL team owner today, I’m writing a heated letter to Roger Goodell’s office saying they need to hire FT refs and overhaul the rules and training because this confusion is bad for business.

it would be interesting if there was some statistics and bonuses tied to performance (accuracy after video postgame analysis) for the refs, tied with to going back to on-field calls only for the viewer, combined with making the accuracy of the referee a known stat and a part of the game that sports betters etc can factor in. a portion of the audience would definitely nerd out on ref stats and it'd become part of fantasy leagues nationwide. do that and the games don't need to be rigged, they could be "pure sport" - there's an argument that that's impossible anyway in the NFL anyway these days but that's a different aside that i won't be pursuing. but yeah, lots of ways to improve but dont all good moneymaking entertainment machines need a heel for the crowd to boo?

So next betting question. I can't help but notice Mahomes is always hurt post season. What kinda long term life does a mobile QB have? Bills- Allen was hurt. Didn't Hurts have some problems in the conference finals?
Mahomes is 27. Kelce is 33.
How many more Super Bowels will Patrick Mahomes win? Let's set the Over under at 1.5. Which way do you lean?
Im gonna take the under. I think he will get another. But I don't think 4-5 years later he is the same QB he is now.

This is a half time family friendly show.
Enjoy your popcorn.

I never watch the halftime shows, so I can't comment on this one, I take a walk out of the house during halftime....my wife and daughter watch it since that's why they're watching the superbowl with me in the first place.....
I just thought there was gonna be a few pages of back and forth abt it...tsk tsk

Reaction to halftime show is better than the actual show. My favorite is when a Falcons player blaming the show for being too long as the reason they lost. Bring a smile to my face every time I remember it.
