Plenty of does

So, I have found an area with lots of doe activity, and at least 2 different does have fawns. One with a set of twins and another with a single. No pictures of any bucks on camera. Doesn’t appear to be a pressured area

My question is, with this much doe activity, should I wait till the pre-rut/rut time frame and see if a buck will cruise through or Scout more looking for buck activity?

If this is the only spot you got I would scout transition edges a way from main doe trails and look for a faint trail with big tracks...I have a spot similar to this that I typically fair better during the rut and have couple spots with few bucks and not many does and during the rut it’s a ghost town

I have a similar spot and like clockwork around Halloween bucks will show up to pursue the does.

I would definitely plan on hunting it, but also scout multiple locations, its always good to have multiple options. If there are lots of does there, you should definitely have bucks during the rut.

I should add that the spot I mentioned is a ridge crossing where it’s not uncommon to see a dozen or more does in a morning sit. We usually hunt it several times during the early season to put some meat in the freezer and still see bucks during the rut. IMO you may be able to hunt your area without pushing the does all out (they’re probably there for a reason) but if you’re just interested in bucks you may want to leave it alone until rut activity starts.

If you have other places to hunt, then try them out - if you are buck hunting. Save that spot for the rut. I'd leave it unpressured if you haven't seen bucks coming thru on cameras or while hunting. They will be there in two months.
