I've been using the PMI E-Z Bend Sport 11mm rope for my tether and lineman rope for the last 4 years. While I have had no issues with it working, it has remained fairly stiff and does not coil up for easy packing. Does anyone else use this rope? Should I just switch to something else if I want to pack it on my mantis? With my Guido's Web, it was never an issue.

Seems to me like you answered your own question. You want to pack it with your mantis and it appears to be an issue. If you're looking for smaller diameter rope look at sterling oplux. Wild edge and doublesteps (shout out to DanO) both carry it. I run it for both my lineman and tether at 8ft and it packs down small enough to put in one pouch I keep on my Flex. Be advised, if you go this route the oplux is 8mm so if you use a mechanical belay device you'll need to use one that works with 8mm like a Kong duck. If you go prusik or similar friction hitch do your research as you'll probably need to make your own prusik or pick up a hollow block.

Thanks for the response. I guess I didn’t ask my question fully. If anyone uses the PMI rope, is it stiff for you as well? I use the ropeman 1 for both tether and LB, so if I need to switch, it would most likely be to predator.

I have the same rope I got it from REI but it's just used as back up in case my Predator rope gets unsafe to use and I can't get Predator rope .

Does it feel stiff to you compared to the Predator?
